God, WHY?!

The lad is alright going forward, but at the back he is an absolute NIGHTMARE! He pulls out of tackles one minute, then throws himself into ones the next to earn himself a yellow card. His petulance is overwhelming and whereas he may have talent as a left winger - he surely isn't the type of character we'd want in our dressing room!

It's not necessarily true!

He was outstanding in his first season, Barca were interested. Then for no reason at all he was left on the bench.

Not sure about his defensive capabilities.....

He's got great tricks and is definitely a lively player..... BUT his brain will suddenly disappear at moments, especially in defensive situations and he's cost Portsmouth a fair few goals from giving the ball away/being dispossessed in dangerous areas.

Probably stand on the same ground as willvvbcfc for this, decent player going forward yes, but defensively poor which isn't what we need, plenty of better options out there tbh

he is a left sided midfielder who was asked to play left back last season when traore was injured

now traore has gone back to arsenal they are using wilson as their first choice left back

he has bags of pace and that is something we lack on the wings

Well he can't be that much of a problem in the dressing room, as Harry worked with him at Portsmouth and would like him again at Spurs.

I will trust in AMc's decisions he hasn't been far wrong yet!

Reminds me of a Left-footed Glen Johnson. If we get him I reckon he will be played at left wing.

Seconded... I've never read anything that would suggest he's got attitude problems.

We miss out on having a left back bombing on up the pitch. He's one of the best at that in this league.

I still have doubts about his defensive credentials, but if McLeish wants him I won't doubt the signing.

Good player, and will significantly reduce the quality of Portsmouth, meaning they may well end up down.

He's a good player, IMO one of Portsmouth's best, and I wouldnt mind him here at all.

Nadir Belhadj is a quality player, I think he would be great down that left hand side. Left wing would be his best position.

He would be missing for almost a month competing in the Africa Cup of Nations.

i thinck pace is a priority in january and belhadj would certinly give us that on the other hand i would much rather see a proven defensive left back because we all no who ever plays left back aint gettin any help from mc fadden

i reckon eck would sort his tackles out, being a defender, and aitkien will help.

but look how blues tackle now, with eck in charge, very clean tackles.

(tiny's eduardo tackle, and carsley's one vs wolves last leason being the exceptions.)

but i would love him to be at blues!
